La Maison Rose, Miramont de Quercy, Tarn-et-Garonne
This photo above was taken over 30 years ago and there have been changes to the landscape, but gives a birds eye view of the property situated in the picturesque, hilltop village of Miramont de Quercy in the Tarn-et-Garonne département. Approximately mid-way between Montauban, Cahors and Agen. 75 minutes to Toulouse airport.
Post-office in the village, 1 minute walk. Village shop at the bottom of the hill (bakery, deli and patisserie) 5 mins drive.
Further amenities in Lauzerte (7 km) with supermarket, café bars and restaurants.
Hypermarkets and great wine outlets in Cahors, 60 minutes. Large weekly market full of the very best regional produce.
Moissac also has an excellent twice-weekly market, while Montaigu-de-Quercy, Valence-d’Agen and Montcuq boast their own. The stalls, crammed with regional specialities like asparagus, artichokes, melons, fruit, duck, goose and wild mushrooms. Markets start early in the morning and continue at full steam till about lunchtime. There are also an abundance of local producers where you can buy fresh produce straight from the farm such as milk, butter or cheese.
The nearest airport is Toulouse. This is approximately one hour and a quarter’s drive to La Maison Rose.

There is also a shuttle bus that can take you from Toulouse Blagnac airport to the Toulouse train station where you can catch a train to Moissac. This is a short 20 minute taxi journey to the house.
Alternatively you can book a taxi with Taxi Occitanie which is approximately €150 during the day.
The nearest TGV station is Agen, 40 minutes from La Maison Rose.
You can book online through SNCF. If travelling from England you can use the Eurostar to Paris. The time from Paris is four hours.
