Once you step through the porte cochere entrance into the courtyard of our family owned, large hilltop seven-bedroom country house you are in a space of complete tranquillity. You will walk into a courtyard of mature lime trees surrounded on three sides by a stone traditional farmhouse, each room with high ceilings and original tiled floors.
The house which sleeps fourteen people has been decorated by the owner who is a designer and artist and has given every room personal attention including adding her own designed fabrics. In the three decades it has been in our family, we have landscaped and planted the split-level garden so that it has an all year-round presence of plants and flowers that also attracts birds and butterflies. Particular attention has been paid to ensure that from multiple places you can gaze over the views that can stretch over the fruit, vineyard and sunflower farms to hill top medieval towns and the distant Pyrenees.
Adjacent to the main house is a two double bedroom cottage and our latest addition is a large light filled barn studio which has proved perfect for artist weeks, weddings and retreats such as yoga.
